Cliche discussion

So I figure we can use this forum to discuss the cliches as well as any other collaborative work we'll have to do. So the first cliche I'm thinking is:



Image 1 and 9. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bushes.

WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN!!! lol

So we've got...

6 & 7 - Light at the end of the tunnel

What about...
2 & 5 - A watched kettle/pot never boils????
3 & 8 (would have to go together but not sure what it is)
4 & 10 - Something about rolling stone?

I think 4 & 10 is a rolling stone gathers no moss

I'm struggling with 3 & 8
